A quick question

Ok my first question is this. I’m fixin to knit this for my Mom. The pattern says to sl 1, (k 1, p 1) to end of row. I just want to make sure that I have the sl 1 part right. So, I just slip the stitch to the right hand needle and just go on? Thanks!

Yep!

yup! Just make sure you slip it purlwise

So, how do you know when to slip purlwise, and when to slip knitwise? (When the instructions don’t specify, of course)

Thanks,
Kris

When just moving, do it pw. When working a dec, work kw.

Well, I sure have been doing it wrong for years!

Thanks,
Kris

Thanks guys! Just wanted to double check to make sure I have it right before I start!
