i’m knitting a hoodie for my 4yo dd and originally wanted to use magic loop to knit the body in the round. well, that didn’t work as my longest circ is 40". so i decided to use 2 circs. i only have one set of interchangables however.
so the problem would be, i only have 2 size 8 needle tips. i vaguely remembered something from a tutorial on making your own circs where the author said she sometimes made circs with the left needle smaller than the right. BINGO!
i put size 5 needle tips on the ‘left’ side of the circ, and the size 8 tips on the ‘right’ side. the right needle forms the stitches, so the left needle just passes them along to be knit again on the right tip.
i’m sure this has been used before, but wanted to share it again.
