I really want to buy this book, has anyone read it? Or does anyone have it who would like to part with it for a reasonable fee? I’ve found it online and am thinking about ordering it but i wanted to make sure I put the offer out to all the KH members first. Thanks guys and gals!

I haven’t heard of this book. What’s it about? Is it historical knowledge about knitting in general?
I found it quite interesting. It is just history though no patterns, but I like history. I actually bought it before I started knitting.
Its good… but it is more acurately “a history of hand knitting in EUROPE” (and by other who were taught by europeans)
it is very EURO Centric.
But it does an excellent job (on that limited topic)
I also recommend No Idle Hands: a history of knitting in America. (which doesn’t have the conceit that American’s basicly, if not invented knitting, made knitting what it is today–Oops can you tell that Rutt’s singular european view really annoyed me?)
