A Fun Question!!!!!

I have an app on my phone (Android) called Knitting Calculator. You put in how much yarn the pattern is asking for and the length of your chosen yarn and it works out how much you need. It’s never let down yet.

I generally have two going and have had three, but trying really hard to limit myself to one. Now look at my yarn for the next project (look but don’t touch)

Hahaha!!! I know that feeling! But it’s such a joy to knit for others and they really like what you do…:revolving_hearts:

It is a fun question! I generally do one thing at a time but when I lived in England there was a group that met every few weeks at a pub to drink and knit or crochet. I had to have something very simple on hand for Stitch ‘n Pint because I could not talk, drink, and knit anything challenging all at the same time!

I have to pay attention too. If I get distracted I end up with a row of either seed stitch or k2,p2 rib! I have a friend who screws up so much sometimes that she ends knitting what she calls a magical mystery tour blanket or scarf or whatever. I call mine knitting samplers.

I like variety so usually have a few on the go at a time. My husband had a stroke last July and now has aphasia and I am having to do a lot of things for him and have had to take over a lot of his roles, so haven’t much time for knitting or long stretches of knitting. I just have small projects otn atm. I used to knit in the car when hubby was driving but he has stopped driving now. I also used to knit in waiting rooms but there’s not much of that going on right now.

I’m on several forums, knitting-related and otherwise, some of which are inactive and when I come to any of the inactive knitting-related forums in my schedule I just knit a few rows.

Gillian are you near me, l live between Rathfriland and Newry?

Hi KnittingBandit, I’m outside the town of Antrim, not far from Aldergrove Airport. That’s about 40 miles from you…

Nice to meet another knitter from our wee country!
