I’ve been looking online and can’t find your pattern. Is this as written in the pattern: nextsk ?

I think this pattern was printed off a pattern from a kit from mary maxim my friend says. No in the book is 99955

I’ve been trying to think what nextsk might mean. Maybe if you could give Rnd 2 also it would help. Maybe something in the pattern notes would help in figuring it out. Is there an explanation for nextsk or sk? Hopefully someone else will see this and pick up on what we’re missing.

Could "nextsk st"actually be “next sk st” as in “next skipped stitch”?

Maybe. I don’t remember sk as in next sk meaning anything in crochet lingo but it’s been quite a while since I followed a crochet pattern. I was wondering if it might be a typo, especially with nextsk run together as it is, sometimes that happens, and if the typing is done on a device it’s so easy to do. Also the see patternnotes (again run together, device typing?) seems to indicate something different might be going on. I don’t know. I wish I could at least see what the project looks like. The closet I could come was Button-Cuff Boots.

When I type on my phone or tablet it is really, really challenging.

I think it’s the same pattern.

Probably the previous 2 rounds would be worth seeing. It may be
"…dc in next sk st on rnd before last] ch around" as Becky suggested.

Salmonmac that is the pattern
RND1:Ch25,3sc in 2nd ch from hook,sc in each of next 10 chs,dc in each of next 12chs,5 dc in last ch,working on opposite side of ch,dc in each of next 12 chs, sc in eachof next 10 chs,2 sc in last ch, DO NOT JOIN ( see Pattern Notes) 54sts
Rnd: 2 sc in each of first 2 sts, sc in each of next of next223 sts, 2sc in each od next5 sts.,sc in each of next 23 sts,2 sc in last st. (62)
I hope this will help. Sorry I have been so slow to get back.
Thanks go out to you ladies for trying to help
