Okay just a few questions on the pattern concerning a pencil case:
what is lazy daisy stitch
what is st st ( does is mean stockinette stitch?)

Yes, st st is the abbreviation for stockinette stitch.
I couldn’t find a knitted stitch call ‘Lazy Daisy’ (looked on Knitttingfool), but there is an emboridery stitch by that name.

A link to your pattern would be helpful. There should be an explanation of stitches somewhere in the pattern. Maybe it’s the daisy stitch?
