A Camo/Orange Cap for the Hunter in Your Life

I finished the camo/orange cap for my FIL’s birthday in September. I used Red Heart Super Saver (Camo and Mango), mainly because I couldn’t find any other yarns with a camo print, and also because FIL will appreciate being able to machine wash it. I followed one of the basic hat patterns on here, but adapted it to this. Now I need to make something other than a cap since I’m no longer scared of DPNs. . .

Wow, I love that, Cindy!!!

You’re ready to knit socks now…

Very nice…perfect for hunting

Excellent! You’re really on the ball if his birthday isn’t until September!

Thanks! I have to start early because until this week, I haven’t successfully been able to finish a cap  Plus my family has an avalanche of birthdays starting in late August and going through Christmas. Also, SIL needs a housewarming gift, so it may be back to dishcloths for a bit.

Not ready for socks just yet! But I’d like to try a basic sweater or tank top. I have the yarn sitting in a bag, just waiting . . .

When I saw this thread I thought you were talking about this hat:

Maybe you could use up your camo colors and make this one too.

Wow, that’s a neat one, thanks for the link!
