I’m working on this sweater, using Berroco Flicker.
For the shoulder seams, it says to bind off the back and shoulder sections then sew the seams. Would the 3 Needle Bind-off work just as well or maybe better? Seems I’ve read that bind-off would produce a sturdier seam? I hate sewing seams and would love your opinions.
Thanks!
I always work 3-needle bind-off for shoulder seams, whether the pattern calls for them or not. They always looks so straight and perfect!
If it’s a sloped shoulder, I work short rows rather than binding off in steps and then work the bind off with the live stitches.
Thanks, Ingrid. Fortunately, for me, no sloped shoulders here, just straight across. I’m getting anxious to get the shoulder seams done so I can try it on. This one has reminded me how much I prefer top-down!
