2nd felted purse!

I loved the one I made for Rebecca, so I made a slightly different one for myself! I had my doubts about the size, but I like the way it turned out. I wanted to add Bamboo handles, but here in Alaska, well Ketchikan anyways, it is hard to find what ya need! So I did the I-cord and it still looks cute! I can’t wait to carry it around! The second picture is of my 6yr olds purse and mine next to each other to see how different you really can make this purse! Thanks for looking!

Nice! I really like the colors! What yarn did you use? And what pattern?

They are cute!! I love how you put a big button in the front too! :inlove:

I used Karaoke yarn and it is the booga bag pattern. On the second one I cast on 34 and knitted 34 and then when I picked up stitches to knit in the round I really didn’t count how many I picked up, but it worked out any way. I was supposed to make it alot taller too, but I admit to being impatient and thinking it looked tall enough. One thing I really liked is the way the I-cord sinches it together, otherwise it just sits open!
I really like the button too! It adds alot, I like buttons!

It’s beautiful – fantastic color!! And I love the “matching” purse you made for your daughter – so cute!

Love :inlove: how those turned out! Really pretty!! (And I’m so envious of you living in Alaska…it must be so lovely there.)

TOTAL cuteness!!! I LOVE color!!! hehehe…the last projects…

Messenger bag:Black
Amy’s square: Cream
Poncho:tan’s, browns, CREAM
Christening Gown:WHITE…

I think the next project I’m going to make is going to be obscenely colorful…lol…

(And I’m so envious of you living in Alaska…it must be so lovely there.)

It is beautiful here, but sometimes I wish to be back in dry hot weather, but only once in a while!

SWEET! I really really like the button one and I like the height of it too. It looks very professional. WTG

Stunning!

I know a woman who sells felted purses that she makes (a lot of $$$!!) and she uses old costume jewelry necklaces for handles and embellishes with funky pins. Very cool stuff.

These are so cute!!! them!

Thank you all for the great compliments! I have been carrying my new purse around town and have gotten lots of compliments! Wow, I never knew how much fun it could be to make a knitted purse!

knason, First of all your felted bags are beautiful. I tried one attempt at felting a bag and I ended up throwing it in the garbage!! I think I need to give it another try sometime. :XX:

I lived in Anchorage AK for 14 yrs. We were a military family and we loved it so much that my dh retired there. We are now back in our home state of NY. After being gone for almost 10yrs. I still miss all the  MOOSE!!

Wonderful color. Looks professional!
