2 strands DK sport for 1 strand worsted?

Can I substitute 2 strands of DK Sport for 1 strand of worsted yarn?

I made a lapghan that way and it turned out beautiful. I’m not sure about clothing, though. The experts here can answer that one. :thumbsup:

Hiya losnana,
You could try hun. Just make a gauge swatch with the yarns you want to use and see if ti comes up the same as for in the pattern. If it does, you’re good to go. If it doesn’t you might be able to fiddle with the needle sizes just a bit to get it right.:x:

Sportweight is thinner than DK and that would double to worsted I think. DK doubled would be thicker, like a light bulky.
