I have knit one pair of socks on 2 circs, and love it…How can I do both socks at once???/:teehee:
2 socks at once on 2 circulars?
There are at least two new books on the subject.
“Knitting Circles Around Socks” by Antje Gillingham is very clearly written and illustrated.
There are a few patterns on the net for making 2 socks on 2 circs. I’m working on this one right now: Whisper Lace socks and I was thinking about making these: Kaibashira. There is also this one from Knitty: Straight laced socks
I would also recommend Cat Bordhi’s book Socks Soar on 2 Circular Needles. There are some patterns and while none of them really knocked me out her instructions on how to convert any sock pattern into one for 2 circs is worth the price of the book.
I forgot to mention that the Knitty pattern has instructions on how to cast on for the 2 sock, 2 circ method.
Hope this helps!
Not sure that this really adds anything to the thread other than “hmm, that’s interesting”, but there is another book called 2-at-once or something like that that details how to knit two socks on one circular needle.
Hi,
I don’t think this site was mentioned, so you might want to take a peek at it. http://www.socknitters.com/2circs/index.htm this should lead you to the page “Cybersocks: 2 Socks on 2 Circulars.” HTH.

PS. If you feel really daring you could also zoom over to this page: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall06/FEATextreme2in1.html (Extreme Knitting: 2 socks in 1).
I love that site. It taught me how to do 2 socks at once, well… taught me to do socks. The instructions are very clear.
knittingkorner.com should be the site name. (1st cup of coffee). Otherwise do a google search.
Hope this helps!
Isn’t Silver’s 2 socks at once tutorial for Magic Loop? Her tutorial that teaches using 2 circular needles only makes one sock.
