2 FOs- earflap hat and a scarf

This is my first fair isle/ stranded knitting project. It was a lot of fun and knit up rather easily. I do not like where the earflaps are placed though. If I were to knit it again I would move them up a bit.

There was also an error ( I assume) in the first chart (for the earflaps). There are 19 stitches and the chart is a 6 stitch repeat, which left an extra stitch. I ended up knitting it in MC.

Here is a very quick and very easy scarf I finished a a couple weeks ago. It’s Chunky Diagonal Rib Knit Scarf. Pattern on Ravelry or PDF

Here’s a close up of the pattern detail

This scarf only has 4 rows to repeat! It was so quick to knit up and I love it! Its so soft and squishy.cloud9

That is gorgeous! :inlove:

Wow! Those turned out great. Especially the earflap hat

Both look great. Love the colour combination in the hat.

Very nice work! I love earflap hats! The scarf is neatly done!

:yay:The hat looks great, you did an awesome job!!

Love the scarf :happydance:

Beautiful colorwork on the hat! And I really like how your scarf came out too!!

Awesome, job, the colors on the hat are perfect together. I love the scarf color too.

Wow, that hat is awesome! Beautiful color work. Very pretty scarf too.

Nice little scarf and I love the hat. The colors look so good together. My first impression was that the dark was brown but maybe it is black. It is odd how colors play against each other. On the wide green stripe the waves look brown. The designs look brown on the yellow as well, but at the top and on the earflaps the dark looks black. Is there brown and black or is it all the same?

It’s all brown. I hadn’t noticed that in the pics. In person it definately looks brown. I took the picture under a covered deck, so it could just be the lighting.

Thanks for the answer. I know a lot of people are black lovers but personally I thought brown would look nicer with the yellow and green, so I’m glad to hear it is brown.

they both look great! I love the color on the scarf, and that’s a neat pattern, too!
