1967 Knit It Magazine with Twiggy On Cover!

:roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard::roflhard:

Like Jan, I was a freshman in HS in 1967 and Tiggy was MY IDOL!!! I bought a pair of white boots and a hat JUST to look like her!!!1

I must be nearly historic - I was 11 in 1967!! LOL

NOW I feel old! I REMEMBER 1980!!!
:passedout:

:roflhard:

Frankly I don’t see the beauty in Twiggy. She has buggy eyes and absolutely NO FEMALE SHAPE! I like my pear shape thank you very much.
:flirt:

I will scan an interior page in which she is wearing another knitted item and photographed from the side. I’ve seen 10-year old boys with better looking bodies!:roflhard:

Twiggy is before my time, but I’ve always been into old stuff, I was into big band 40’s music when I was 10 (circa 1977). Needless to say, I was alone in my music choice among my peers. :teehee:

Have you seen her now?

Take a look at the second link I sent - she’s got curves, in fact, she looks a bit peary to me, and some meat on her face so her eyes actually seem to fit her face…

I didn’t like her much back then because of the same reasons, but WOW has she aged well!

Here’s that interior page showing Twiggy in profile…yuck! I can’t imagine any man would be attracted to the concentration camp look…. She’s the one on the upper right.

Ok - that’s enough of that!!! :roflhard:

OMG…if that is her on the front page of that link, and I think it is, she’s GORGEOUS now!

I agree! She filled out really well!
:roflhard:

:roflhard: That gave me a good laugh

I was born in 1982 :flirt:

Maybe they call her Twiggy because she was a twig? Sorry. I wasn’t born until '76 and had never heard of her. I’m sure my mom knows who she was! She graduated HS in '65 so it’s right in her era!
