I popped home to my parents’ place this weekend and found some of my knitting stuff from when I was a kid - I thought I’d share a piccie of this chap! I think I made him when I was about 12 years old in the school holidays 
I then managed to find his buddy in the cupboard, who sadly never quite got finished 
…
My mum and I spent some time on him this weekend, so we hope he’ll be finished before another 14 years goes by! :rofling:

I do have a WIP that I started in August of 1986 :shock: It’s not knitting though, it’s a tapestry.

Haha - thank you! Yes, I also couldn’t quite believe he was still there! It’s funny you say that, my poor mum is always trying to get me to clear my stuff out (and the awful, mishapen GIANT grey elephant I made disappeared mysteriously a while ago 
) - I hope we’ll get him finished up and off to a good home soon
How Cute is he? I’m impressed. I’ve only been knitting 3 1/2 years, so my oldest wip is only about one year old, heh, a scarf for dh.
