I bought a pair of a pair of 10.75/16inc addi turbo needles for a blanket but I found out they are too small for the blanket (I’m a beginner). are you planning on making hats at all? 16" is a great length for hats and i hate to see anybody give up their addis! 
if you are looking to do a blanket at least 30+ inches would be best.
