When a pattern shows a yarn over at the end of a row do you just do the yarn over at the beginning of the next row
Are you knitting something flat or in the round?

I am knitting flat with straight needles and using a pattern that is from abook that shows small swatches for flowers and leaves. There is no linkshould here is a picture of the pattern

Yeah, you can't actually do a YO at the end of the row when all the stitches are knit so that's a little weird. I would just do it at the beginning of the next row so it's on the correct end of the work. It should work out okay.
