I wasn't too sure how this would look in all black, but I think it's turning out better than I expected. I added two cables to the width and am cabling every 7th row instead of every 5th.
Looks like those things are addictive! :teehee:
It looks great!
Mason,I love it. I am almost wishing I had done mine wider for my guy. Too late now so he had better like it anyway!
Mason, you look great in your IHS and hat! I see you're cabling again -- addictive, isn't it? I like the additional width for the Palindrome scarf. It looks great! Is it hard to work in all black?
Looks great!! I'm getting ready to start my 2nd...hrmmm I think I'll try your method of every 7th row...:happydance:
Well, it is a pretty cool design. I like that the cables show on both sides.
Not hard at all, especially with the Options as the contrast of the black against the shiny needles is very good.
I started it with the every 5th row called for in the pattern but with the wider width it just didn't look right to me.
I think it looks great with the extra width... I may just have to cast this one on as a 3rd Christmas gift for my hubby
I am sooooooooo addicted to cables. They keep you from getting bored when you knit too
My computer monitor must not be very good, all I can see is a big black smudge. It sounds great, though!
You're the second person who has mentioned that. I can think of a couple of things that would cause that. Either your contrast is set too low or the color depth is too low.
Here's one taken with the flash. It makes the black look more like grey and washes out the pattern a bit but may be easier to see on a low res monitor or with low color depth.
Now that I can see!! Lovely work!
That really is beautiful, and I bet it looks really sharp in the black. Good work! Btw, I see it's your bday. Hope you had a great day! :waving:
I think the BLACK makes a very handsome cabled scarf! I made a BLACK cashmere lace-like scarf last year...and it is one of my favorites!
Looking good! Nothing like a classy scarf on a real man :teehee:Happy birthday :muah:
Looking good Mason! I have to put that pattern on my to do list for sure.
