ok, so I want to make the boatneck sweater featured in the new knit.1 magazine (p.46, if you have it). I've read through the directions several times now and I don't get the section under "shape the armhole"
It reads: "Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Row 1 and all WS rows Purl.
Row 2 K2,p1, k to last 3 sts, p1, K2
Row 4 (dec row) K2, p1,k1, ssk, k to last 6 sts, k2tog, k1,p1, k2.
Now, this is what I don't get:
Working in pat as est'ed, rep dec row every 8th row 5 (0,0,0,0,0) times, every 6th row 0(3,0,0,0,0), every 4th row 0(6,10,9,7,3) times, every other row 0(0,2,6,11,19) times - 46 sts.
How do you do all that if you are supposed to be following the pattern as established?
For example, row 6 in the pattern is not a decrease row.
Sorry this was so long but I didn't know how to condense it and still get my question across.
