I am new to knitting and am on my second project. The pattern I am working from is called Wendy 5683 DK, and the instructions that are stumping me are the following.
nb: I currently have 105 sts in my row, and I think the '129 sts' mentioned at the end is how many I ought to end up with after making the appropriate increases mentioned below.
'...Moss stitch 20 stitches, [inc once in each of next 3 sts, moss st 4 sts] 3 times, inc once in each of next 3 sts, moss st 17 sts, inc once in each of next 3 sts, [moss st 4 sts, inc once in each of next 3 sts] 3 times, moss st 20 sts. 129 sts.'
This is exactly as it is phrased on the pattern, and it seems really confusing to me, or am I just being silly?
Could I not just add to extra 24 stitches interspersed evenly throughout my next row, or must I increase in the exact way mentioned above if I want the next part of my pattern to work out?
Thanks very much for any suggestions.
