Hello all -
I'm a new-ish knitter, and I'm running into some trouble on a shawl I'm making. The pattern reads:
Cast on 5 stitches.
Row 1: (RS) K1, M1, K2, M1, K2, M1 in each stitch (8 sts).
Row 2: (WS) K1, purl to last stitch, K1.
Row 3: K1 M1, repeat 3 times, K1, repeat from * to * 4 times (15 sts).
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: K1, M1, K1 repeat to last stitch, K1, M1 (23 sts).
Row 6: Repeat row 2.
Row 7: K1, M1, K7, M1, K7, M1, K7, M1, K1 (27 sts).
Row 8: Repeat row 2.
Row 9: Begin eyelet pattern separating the 5 panels. K2, YO, K3, YO, K1, PM, K1, YO 4 times, K3, YO, K2 (37 sts).
Rows 10 and all even rows: Knit first and last stitch and purl the rest.
Rows 11-24: Continue as set with eyelet pattern, knitting on RS rows, and purling on WS rows, and increasing on every 4th row (67 sts).
I don't understand how to continue the pattern for rows 11-24. Where should these increases be going? How exactly do I "continue as set" with the eyelet pattern? With all of the YOs, won't I end up with more than 67 sts by the end? In short, what should row 13 look like?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
