Hi!Im a newbie when it comes to knitting and I have difficulity in reading some knitting patterns...
The directions say : 3rd Row: K1. (M1.K14) 6 times. 91sts, the same directions for row 5 and 7..what does that mean?
I'm a little confused. Is what you're having trouble with the pattern line or the 5 and 7 row part? That just means you repeat the line when it's time to do rows 5 and 7.
If you mean the pattern line m1 is in the glossary http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/knitting-glossary
The only other problem I can think that you're having is the ()? That means to repeat what's in there 6 times.
OK. I hope it was one of those.
k1, then (inc 1, k14) 6 times, you'll have 91 sts at the end of the row. On rows 5 and 7 you'd do the same. Rows 4 and 6 must have decreases on them or you'll be messed up for row 5 and 7.
Thanks for your help..I was confused about the pattern line itself, () 6 times..
Your help was great and it's nice to know that I can get help!
