Here's a self-fringing shawl knitted in Debbie Bliss SoHo:
And here are some socks I did for my youngest daughter. They are nearly done, just need a couple of rows of ribbing at the cuff:
Nice work! I especially like the colors of the shawl!
I Love the shawl and the socks are going to look amazing
My dd would love socks that those, so pretty!
The shawl is lovely - is the fringe looped? It looks cool.
Melinda- yeah, the fringe is looped. I knit a 5 stitch garter border along the bottom, then when it's done, unravel those 5 stitches all the way across to make the fringe. It's scary the first time, but it works!
Beautiful work on both of your FOs. Those pink socks are great!
Love the shawl and the socks are so sweet - beautiful colour and I just love the hearts.TEMA:inlove:
That shawl looks so cozy and warm. Love the colors, too. And the socks are beautiful! Nice work.
Great job on both! Love the colors on your shawl and the fringe sounds so neat! Your DD will love wearing those sock too - love the hearts!
I really like the colors on the shawl too. And that unraveling to get fringe is genius! Scary but genius lol I like the hearts on the socks too. I've only ever done plan socks, maybe I should get around to branching out
They both look great! :yay:
Thanks for all the kind words!
Eccie, these were so easy- I just used a basic sock pattern and a heart chart.
Those are great! The socks would make a really nice Valentine gift!
Pretty shawl and I love, love, love the socks!
Very pretty! I love the colors of the shawl.
Nice work. That is a neat idea for the fringe. I love the hearts on the socks. Nothing says lovin' like something...with hearts.
Hee hee! Just as long as I don't stick the socks in the oven, I guess we'll be OK.
I love the colors on the shawl! Good work on both the socks and the shawl.
