So last night I was right on track when I posted a question about my first 'real' pattern for a baby jumper/dress that I am trying to knit. I went ahead and knitted up until I got confused again... Maybe I could get a bit more help?
The pattern calls for:
Row 8: Beg with a knit row, work 6 rows in St st.
Dec 1 st at each end of next and following 6th rows 6 more times.
I checked with you wonderful folks last night and you agreed that it meant to Dec at the beg and end of row 14 and then every sixth row for a total of six repeats. I believe this will give me a Dec on row on rows 20, 26, 32, 38, and 44.
This will end me on the rows 49 with a purl row, which is where my question comes in. The next set of instructions are:
Work 3 rows even, ending with a WS row.
If I purled row 49 and am now working on my next three rows, 50 will be knit, 51 will be purl, and 52 will be knit... how is a knit row a WS row? Did I screw something up?
Or does "work 3 rows even" mean to not St st but another stitch?
Any help would be great.
Also, i see a "thanks" area in my side profile, how do I say thanks to people?
