I can do this (I think) but I want to use DK yarn, as I have a metric poopton of it. Can someone do the conversion for me, ie: how many sts to cast on etc if using DK instead of "Koigu KPM?"
Koigu KPM is 7 sts to the inch.
The pattern says to cast on 36 sts or 5.1 inches.
Check your DK yarn gauge and measure the nuber of sts in an inch by 5.1 to find out how many sts to cast on.
You'd need to do a swatch so you can count the stitches per inch and the measure the baby.
There are patterns with DK that would probably be easier since you wouldn't have to deal with that. With these it would be simple to adjust the size. Since it's k2,p2 ribbing on the edge just adjust up or down by a multiple of 4. You can make them any color or plain if you want to.
