OK...I've been knitting since before most of you were born :teehee: but last night I broke out my KnitPicks 29" (? I think) cable and cast on for my very first ever sock using Magic Loop. I sat here in front of my computer with Amy as my guide and just did it. And.....I LIKE IT!!! So far, anyway. My pattern was a K2P2 rib with 60 cast on stitches so I had to adjust from the start (28 on one needle, 32 on the other), then after I finished the rib part I rearranged the stitches to 30-30 and it seems to be just fine. But, for some reason, I was knitting "inside" the tube. By the looks of the video, the working yarn is on the bottom needle which caused me to be working on the inside. Anyway, I flipped it and adjusted again, and it's been fine. Still haven't gotten to the heel part yet, but I don't see where there will be a problem. It sure is easier working with the one cable rather than 4 dpns.
