Would anyone have a pattern for a swirl round knitted coaster. I had one but it has evaporated into thin air somehow lol. Thanks for any who reply.
Don't know what they look like, but these are done with short rows:
I don't know if http://www.groupepp.com/dishbout/kpatterns/petal.html is the sort of thing you're looking for or not...?
What do you mean 'swirl around'? Here's one that might be what you're looking for.
http://www.knitpicks.com/Swirl+Placemats+Pattern_PD30859221.htmlmakes me think of these placemats from the book "Felt It." You could make them smaller and call them coasters.
You gals are so sweet for helping me out and fast.Jan in Ca that was the one I was looking for. Thanks again:muah:
googled short row coasters and found KnittingHelp. then found where you had answered someones question which sent me to groupepp.com / Dishcloth Botique. I can not even begin to tell you THANK YOU !
HERE is a pattern that might work if you want to learn Tunisian Crochet. Just make the starting chain maybe 6 or 7 and see how the size works out.
This link says the pattern is not found
This one says the link is error
I tried all of these links and all are coming up with errors ugh.
The knitlist website went down a few years ago, but you can put the link into the 'way back machine' and it should come up. May take a few minutes though.
Try looking up any tutorial or pattern for a top down hat. It's the same principle. You just stop increasing when the "coaster" looks big enough. I'd suggest pulling the tail after the first round or two to close up the hole.
There are a bunch on Knitting Pattern Central. And there are several pages in all shapes and sizes on Ravelry.
