The pattern I'm doing tells me to increase at each edge - but since I'm doing the seed stitch, when I got to do the wrong side row, my seed stitch pattern is off.
Anything to remedy this?

Incorporate that increase into the pattern. Let's say you make two out of the first stitch, just do the next stitch whatever way maintains your pattern, so k a p or vice versa. The first two won't look like seed, but you can't really help that.
thanks Ingrid! I was just trying that and it seems to work wonderfully (the edges will be picked up later to knit a ruffle, so any selvedge 'bumps' won't matter!
