I hope that someone out there can help! I bought some lovely yarn from a charity shop - four complete balls and a couple of half-used balls, but I have no idea what it is. Weirdly, even the complete balls have no ball bands! It is very distinctive, so I hope that someone may recognise it or be able to give me some pointers.
The balls are 100g each and they look like double knitting yarn to me (although a bit thinner than a lot of double knitting I've seen). The base colour is purple but it is twisted with other colours along its length -yellow, pink, orange, green, blue. There is also some sort of manmade fibre running through it to give a sparkle. The yarn itself is very soft so I think there is some wool in there somewhere, but I'm off to look on the web to find out how to tell - I've got vague memories of burning things and putting them in bleach to try and find out what they are made of! I'll update if I find anything out from that.
Do any of you recognise this or have any clue about what it might be?
