I'm a new knitter and I'm working on a dress for a stuffed bunny. Right now I'm at the part where I'm putting stitches on waste yarn to create the spot for the sleeves to attach, but I don't understand the directions -- I've put 6 stitches onto the waste yarn, but the part that I don't understand is that the pattern instructs me to transfer the stitches with the waste yarn back to the left needle, and then instructs to "knit through these stitches..."
Does that mean that I should knit each stitch as normal, leaving the waste yarn hanging there; should I skip those stitches to create a hole (but then why would it instruct me to transfer them back to the left needle?); or should I knit all 6 of these stitches together, just as I would with "knit 2 together" when decreasing???
Thanks for your help!!!
