If you've read my other recent post about getting a headache from the smell of the yarn, you might have been curious as to what I was knitting. Well, I am knitting a simple blanket, following this pattern I found on Ravelry:
This is the first pattern I've ever followed and will be done with my Blossom Street: Wild Meadow (pink) yarn. I don't know who it'll be for yet. Maybe the dogs? I suppose I could make it for the cat, but he's a boy. I doubt he'd mind the color, seeing as cats don't see reds and pinks all that well, let alone grasps the concept that it's a feminine color. :teehee:
Anyways, I am learning how to do yarn overs (which will result in increases every row), and knitting multiple stitches together (when the time comes to decrease) with this pattern. I already knew how to do yarn overs and knitting together stitches, though, so it won't be a huge stretch. It's good for learning how to do a very beginning lace type pattern though.
