I knit a cream Malabrigo Mara Shawl this summer, and gifted it to my daughter, Lauralee. Then I knit a black Mara Shawl recently, and gave that one to her as well. She loves them.
But I always wanted one for myself, too, and so that's exactly what I did this past week.
(She can't wear this yarn so I'll definitely be keeping it! :teehee: )
My yarn is Araucania Azapa, #801 natural white tweed.
I've had it forever, just waiting on the right project. You know how that goes? :pout:
Here is the shawl. It looks less white than the hank looks in sunlight, but that's just the photography quirks. Plus, I think garter stitch creates shadows, and reflects less light.
My Ravelry Notes, if you'd care to get more information. Needless to say, I love this shawl pattern.
It will lend itself to dk, worsted, or bulky weight yarn. Free Mara Shawl pattern.
