This is my second FO ever. The first was also a dishcloth, but this is my first time using cotton. This was SnC in Butter Cream. I just loved the colors. I found cotton much less forgiving. I had a hard time with the tension. My first cloth was in acrylic. I got the pattern from here: http://www.jimsyldesign.com/~dishbout/kpatterns/knitting.html. I am going to stick to dishcloths for a while until I learn all the different stitches, etc.
Even though it is not perfect, I am proud!
You should be proud! Your stitches are all in the right place, and it looks good! Cotton is harder to work with, but the best for washcloths.
It looks great! I've found small projects like this are great for learning new stiches. Keep up the great work!
I agree, 100% cotton is harder to work with. It makes great dishcloths though! I've never seen that color! :inlove: Is it Sugar and Cream or Lion Brand?
Jan - I love the color too. It is Sugar and Cream - got it at AC Moore.
Great job! The colors are really nice!
Oh look how even your stitches are too! :inlove:

VERY nice! And that st pattern is VERY nice with the variegated yarn....sometimes you take a risk of your sts not showing up well with variegations, but yours sure did!
Very pretty! Great job!!
I love handknit dishcloths, and they make such nice gifts! They are so much nicer than storebought dishcloths. You did a wonderful job, with even stitches and solid tension.
great job pretty colors!
You are all very good for the ego!! Thanks so much! I really appreciate it! Of course when I look at it, I see the holes and the wierd edges. But practice makes perfect!!
Phht! I see a perfectly square dishcloth!
I bet that pattern is good for scrubbing!
