Thought I'd a picture of my first big toy on here. It's Alan Dart's 'Tooth Trader' from 'Simply Knitting'. Only I gave her a bit of makeover!
Thanks Rita for all your help with this, I know I must have been a pain with so many questions but I wouldn't have finished without you nagging! :teehee:
Hahahhahaha Now ! I would not exactly call it nagging lol , Maybe a bit of friendly nudge And look how lovely she is . SHE IS GREAT! Full of charm and zest Job well done hun xx
OMG! She's great and love the twist!
Fantastic job! When I was young, I had to put my tooth under the pillow. My how things have changed!!!
I love your fairy, great job on a first.
she's adorable, I love her sassy/punk personality! Good Job.
That is one cute little fairy!
Fantastic job! She's gorgeous!
Wow, there are some very talented knitters on this site. That is the cutest, most personable, fairy I have seen. I would gladly give up my tooth to her, (not now of course, I'm 52 years old and need my teeth. LOL)
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I wasn't sure about her when I finished but I'm growing to like her now. I think I just needed to step back from this project.
She's now sitting on a shelf in my sewing room. Doomed to never collect any teeth!
shes absolultly brilliant
great job :yay:
:yay: Love it!! You did a great job and I love the twist
Very cute. I was just asking about this very pattern in General knitting.
She's really cute!
your work is awesome!!:blooby:
You said this was made "with a twist" and several people say they like the twist. How does it differ from the original? She is really nice!!
The original is very girlie, done in pastels. I gothed mine up a bit giving her black and red hair, and lacing up the front. I also put some small beads on her as I wasn't giving it to a small child.
