I am currently shaping the armholes of the Rowan knitting pattern Blitzen, by Lisa Richardson, and am struggling with understanding this section:
-Keeping patt correct, cast off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows. (129 sts.)
-Dec 1 st at each end of next 5 rows, then on foll 4 alt rows, then on foll 4th row. (109 sts.)
I have already cast off the 5 sts on the first two rows to get my 129 its, and have begun on the first section where I Dec. 1 st at each end of the next 5 rows, but it seems that if I Dec 1 at alternate rows, I will only be shaping one side of the arms and I'm not exactly sure what it means by the 4th row. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
