I've finally got to knitting this one. One of the women working with me is going through cancer treatments and i decided to knit her this just to make her feel better. The treatments are just in case, because they removed her kidney with the tumor, but she still feels weak and down a bit. I hope it cheers her up.I used some light worsted weight acrylic with 4 mm needles (:cheering: for Options). I haven't blocked it yet and i don't know if i will. Hope you like it ...
It is gorgeous, she will love it and get good use out of it.:inlove:
What a thoughtful gift! It looks so warm and snuggly it's sure to make her feel better. You did a beautiful job with this pattern, and I love your color.

Thank you everyone for the kudos! Actually, we're not friends, we just work together and i can't really come up to her and ask her how she feels, we're not close. So i decided to make the shawl to show i care .
I picked a colour that she would like for herself and it was actually a rather quick knit. It took me about 3.5 weeks, but that was the only thing i knit at the time.
I can't think of a better way to show support! The knitting is great and the idea and is wonderful!
:hug:Hope he will be around for many years to come!
That's beautiful! She'll treasure it...as I'm sure she does your friendship!Must edit here because I just read the 2nd page of posts in which you say you aren't really friends... what an amazing thing to do for an "acquaintance" then! You have a great heart!
Oooh that is fabby!! :yay: And such a lovely thing to do for someone
Now can I send you mine to finish please? :shifty: :teehee:
