For only 2 sts your best, and quickest option, would be to knit the white part, and then crochet the 'beige' crust. If you have to knit it, you could CO with the beige, switch to white after a couple rows but continue to work the 1 or 2 beige sts at the beginning and end of each row (you'd have to work from 2 diff skeins), and then do your last 2 rows in the beige to finish the 'crust.'
