I am working on one of Alan Dart's patterns, but there are two holes that I am concerned that keep coming up. I've restarted 4 times already, and I've read that I should trust the pattern, but it's hard in this case! The pattern reads:
1. Cast on 20 sts on 3mm needles
2. St st 2 rows
3. 1st inc row - (Inc 1) twice, K6, (inc 1) four times, K6, (inc 1) twice. [28 sts]
4. Next row Purl
5. 2nd inc row - (Inc 1, K1) twice, K6, (inc 1, K1) four times, K6, (inc1, K1) twice. [36 sts]
6. Next row Purl
7. 3rd inc row - (Inc 1, K2) twice, K6, (inc 1, K2) four times, K6, (inc1, K2) twice. [44 sts].
8. St st 21 rows.
My second question was right before you increase any row. At the end of every odd row there is an indication of how many stitches you should end up with when you're done. However, it seems that not all of them are knitted. Are we to turn the work and begin purling the next row? It doesn't make sense to me.
